Hydraulic Cylinders
A hydraulic cylinder is a mechanical actuator that is used to give a unidirectional force through a unidirectional stroke. It has many applications, notably in construction equipment (engineering vehicles), manufacturing machinery, and civil engineering.
Statewide Hydraulics service, supply and stock a complete range of hydraulic cylinders for different applications from leading brands including Hydreco, NFPA, Ezifit and AG.
There are many types of hydraulic cylinders, each are built to suit various applications. Don’t pick the wrong cylinder for your application, it will cost time and money and you will be constantly compromising when you put the rest of the hydraulic system together.
Cylinders are built for:
- Cost / Price
- Operating Pressure
- Low, Medium and High Durability
- Environmental Conditions
You also need to consider:
- The Force Required
- The Operating Speed
- Rod Buckling Forces
- Hoop Strength
- Accuracy of Movement
- Cushions
- Operating temperature
- Type of fluid used
- Other System Requirements
We can help you with cylinder selection and system design, standard stock cylinders, to cylinders made from readily stocked components such as NFPA cylinders, to totally custom made ones.
We repair most brands and types of Cylinders and test all cylinders prior to dispatch.

This cylinder produces reciprocating motion. It is available in single and double rod cylinder.
This is a cylinder that pushes the piston in one way (extending direction). The piston rod is returned by gravitation or mechanical force.
This cylinder uses multistage tube as piston rod to obtain a long stroke. It is useful for pistons requiring more compact housing. Single and double actin types are available.
